Do I need to get a detailed drawing of what you plan on doing?
Yes, a scaled landscape design/drawing is an integral part of your project. This drawing serves many purposes. For you the client, it gives an overview of what the end result of the landscaping would look like and the position of any hardscaping. With an advanced view of the proposed completed project you have an opportunity to make any changes inexpensively in the plan. For us, the landscaping company. It is used to begin the blueprint for placement of the elements of the plan.
Do you do a walk around my yard and discuss possible ideas with me?
Yes, this is a very important part of our landscaping service. This is the time we discuss what the client has in mind, what is anticipated for the project, the amount and style of hardscaping that would be desired. This is the starting point where we can lay out proposals, discuss budget and potential costs for unique elements that might be desired in hardscaping and review any grading and drainage requirements.
Are the plants that you use indigenous to this area?
Yes, all the plants we use are selected from North Florida and Southern Georgia. Additionally all the plants we use are of the highest quality. When we select the plants, we hold them in our own private nursery where they are cared for by our nursery manager, Steven, our plant specialist. Steven is very knowledgeable in the best plants for this area and what are hardy yet attractive and will compliment your landscape.
Are you able to give mean idea of how long the project will take to complete?
We make every effort to give a reasonable time frame for the completion of the project. The time it takes to install a landscape is governed by many factors, among them are man-made and Mother Nature with the weather.
The size, scope and any unforeseen problems in the execution of the job may impact our best laid plans. In the case of Big Bend Landscaping, since we have our own equipment and employees we don’t have to rely on equipment availability or scheduling sub-contractors allowing us to normally perform the tasks in a timely manner.
Are you able to give me some sort of a cost before the project is undertaken?
With proper planning, establishing and controlling work schedules, written plan reviews, and our experience in all phases of the landscaping project and consultations with our clients, we are able to give close estimates of the final costs. However, keep in mind, that when there are changes in plans or unexpected problems that arise these may have an impact on projected costs. We do make every attempt to keep costs and charges with-in our projected estimate.
